Decorating The Shack started as a furniture and abstract art hobby. The artist Samantha began painting her furniture in colors she loved and making artwork for herself and her loved ones. Each piece was playful, creative, and produced out of pure joy. Over the years it developed into something full of passion and purpose.
Beautiful unique furniture, accessories, and home decor began to contribute to many deep thoughts on life, our perception, joy, and love. Samantha realized that what we focus on we get more of, and what we surround ourselves with truly matters. She began intentionally creating and sharing it with the world hoping to inspire joy in the everyday things around us. Why should we surround ourselves with pieces that anyone can find at the local big box store? Why should our dressers only be black, white, brown, or gray? Why can't we have beautiful things that speak to our souls? After all, we will see and use these every day!
At Decorating The Shack, you will find bright and bold colors, hand-painted, handcrafted, hand-sewed, and creative art and accessories. Samantha sources furniture from second-hand shops and donations, turning it into works of art. She carefully chooses beads and findings to create beautiful, unique jewelry. Bags are a favorite of hers, and they will usually be hand-painted or thoughtfully sourced from local shops. Everything in the shop is something that brings joy and something handmade.
The furniture in Decorating The Shack is one of a kind. You will not find two similar pieces. The jewelry is made in small batches. There are no more than 8 or less of a specific design. You will surely find something unique at Decorating The Shack, just like you.
