Let others be different than you

I'd like to share another note I found in my cell phone. This was a while back as well! I hope you find something to take away from this <3 -xoxo sam

Something that makes me a little concerned is how often we have to defend our opinions. On YouTube videos people have to give disclaimers like “this is just my opinion “ or “this is just how we do it” and I see influencers on IG defending themselves about how they choose to live and their life choices and their parenting etc... They will literally make a video explaining why they did something a certain way or said something questionable. I sometimes debate speaking my truth or talking about whats on my heart because for some reason people think they need to correct me or give me their way of doing things as (ADVICE). It doesnt matter what its about... people will always feel and see things different. That's the point. We are all different.

Why do we feel the need to be so critical?

Why do we offer our 2 cents before its asked for?

Why do we point out the flaws and question others intentions?

What if you just celebrate their thoughts or support their heartache.. what if we allowed and appreciated everyone’s weirdness and mistakes?? I don’t think we learn from advice as well as experiences. Ask yourself if you let people be themselves and flow with the conversation. Or do you find yourself debating back and forth and talking most of the time? What if we just asked questions to really listen and just hold space for that person? ....... MORE LOVE WOULD FLOW, more calm souls would replace the old insecure ones and we would be able to witness ALL THE BEAUTY GOD HAS CREATED HERE ON EARTH WITH NO JUDGMENT AND COMPLETE LOVE.

Allowing others to be different and wrong and wild and free is where all the magic happens.

So if you find yourself surrounded by something different or someone pouring out their heart or living their passions.... Encourage them and look on with loving eyes and an open heart. It’s usually ourselves we have an issue with, not others. We are all precious.

💓☀️✌🏼
