People Who Anticipate Season's Early
I want to talk about people being upset when others anticipate a season "too soon."
There is something to be said about the anticipation of something. It’s known that the anticipation is where all the juicy excitement is and the joy of knowing what is to come. It’s not always doing the actual thing that brings the most joy.. it’s the dreaming about and longing for the thing to come.

To me, it would be a waste to only celebrate once you have what you’re longing for. Like they say, its about the journey not the destination. We know where we are headed. We are headed for fall. Why not be excited about it and celebrate the arrival before it actually comes? Why not draw out those feelings of excitement and wonder. If you think about it we get excited for fall a month or 2 before it arrives, which prolongs the feels of Autumn and Cozy things. We do this with Christmas and Winter as well. We get excited right after Halloween for Christmas and all things Peppermint and Santa. We prolong the excitement of Winter. Then here we go again in February longing for Spring. Excited for flowers and Easter and warmer weather. We prolong that feeling as well. My point is, these people do embrace every season.. they just enjoy the anticipation of each one and feel very present in what’s coming and what is. If you live in a climate that doesn’t truly have 4 seasons for very long, it’s common to feel and embrace the thought of these changes each year. In Texas Fall lasts only a few weeks with days of heat that feel like summer sprinkled in. It makes sense when people long for Autumn and dream of yellow leaves and cozy pumpkin vibes.
I think it’s a beautiful thing to reach for feelings of excitement and joy. I think it’s healthy to love every stage in our lives and celebrate the coming of each season. It would be a shame to only find joy and celebrate things as they are happening and not before AND during. I don’t think most people get excited for Fall and then when it’s fall they are bored with it. I think the excitement leads to joy of it arriving and then celebrating even more when it finally arrives. Just because they are excited for Christmas, doesn't mean they aren’t happy and excited about Thanksgiving. They are still loving what is, while dreaming of what is coming.
I also think that the ones who anticipate each season early are happier in general. Any reason to feel joy is a blessing. People who judge them are saying they aren't present in the moment, or they don’t appreciate what they have, but in reality I feel the ones who judge are just finding reasons to be critical and in fact not focusing on their own joy. Let people live according to what feels right for them. Watch others eyes light up and allow them to feel what they feel. Everyone on this planet is wired differently and remember that’s the beauty of life. We get to watch others respond differently and see how life makes them grow and react.

As for the marketing, for the ones pushing the next season so you can buy things, YOU WOULD BUY THINGS ANYWAY. If they weren’t pushing the next season they would be promoting the current season and you would still be buying those items. If you don’t want to buy things DON’T BUY THEM. Just because stores clear their inventory and bring out the next season early doesn't mean you have to fall for it and buy it all. On the flip side some people love to prepare and buy things early. Not everyone waits until the last minute to find things they want and need for the next season. Know what you want, know where you stand and act accordingly. You are in control and you have an impact. Choose wisely and I hope you always choose LOVE & JOY.
My only wish and point of this writing is if you see someone happy and excited about something, let them be. Do not judge or try to have them see life as you do. Not everyone has the blessing of feeling joy so be kind to the ones who find it in the small things.

Psst. I’m drinking a pumpkin spice latte while I write this and I’m still grateful and excited to go swimming this weekend. LOL
