Your Mission Needs to be Written Down
I was listening to an audiobook this morning and he was talking about personal mission statements and family mission statements. A set of rules and principles to follow for a more aligned life.
I've heard this before and it makes a lot of sense. When problems arise and you need to make a tough decision, you can refer back to your mission statement and make a conscious choice based on your values and what's most important to you.
There have been so many moments in my life where I have noticed being intentional really goes a long way. This was another one of those moments. I feel like so many of us just go through the motions without really having a plan or paying attention to how we show up and why.
Life feels so much more special when you are aware of everything and you choose your steps based on a dream or a feeling you wish to experience.
It's so fun creating a life that's juicy and delightful and everything you dream of. Yes, it's going to be painful and not always easy on the way because life is made up of dark and light. Embrace the good while knowing the bad isn't always a negative thing. It's the balance we don't know we need sometimes.
Think about your mission in life at this moment. Write it out, frame it, and hang it somewhere you will see every day. Take control of your desires and show up for yourself. I promise it's always worth it.
